The 80th Annual Academy Awards
By PaulWelcome to Celluloid Heroes’ live-blogging coverage of the Academy Awards. Okay, so I’m not really there, but I am watching the show on my new 40-inch LCD HDTV. Just to show my dedication to you, my loyal reader(s), I have switched away from the NASCAR race in Fontana.
Of course, I haven’t seen many of the films nominated, so I don’t know what I’ll to say about the winners, but I will do what I can to keep you up to date.

Nice animation, but Transformers sharing the same screen space with Back to the Future?
Jon Stewart makes some good points about the Writers Strike.
“Does this town need a hug?” LOL
Julie Christie still looks good.
Norbit: “Too often the Academy ignores films that aren’t good.”

Your comments are fun and I guess that’s the point in doing the post on the blog rather then seeing the ceremony or the reruns.
