Come on, aren’t dentists scary enough without having Dracula, Saruman and Count Dooku play one?

That was hilarious! I liked the movie as well, and Depp’s acting did save what could have been a very creepy character. Once you’ve seen the original, you will notice somethings missing… like Gene Wilder singing “A World of Pure Imagination”.

I’ve seen more about Roald Dahl this week than in the last 10 years. His story “Beware of the Dog” has long been a favorite.

Such a great movie… I love the original so much that I thought a remaxe (or, a new movie based on the novel) could never be as good. If it hadn’t been Johnny Depp and Tim Burton, I probably wouldn’t have bothered watching it at all.

But I did, and I loved it! The music is great, the film is creepy (in a fun way), and Depp is fantastic.
