I remembered this film too from long ago and recntly picked it up on DVD. Not as good as I thought it was but it is, perhaps, one of the better ghost movies.

thank you so much for this post. i saw this movie as a child, but never knew what the title was. i’d try to explain the movie to people, but it wouldn’t help, since all i could remember was the kid getting locked in the closet and seeing the ghost. needles to say a scary thought for a seven year old. thanks for finally putting this mystery to rest.
