It's rare to find a movie with the scare-your-pants-off quality without the slasher blood and gore. And having read the book at least twice, I found the movie faithful to the characters and the story itself. Ted Levine's performance as Buffalo Bill should not be overlooked. To me he's a real "man's man" kind of guy yet he plays this transgendered serial killer devoted to his pet dog, Precious. Does anyone recall his full frontal in the mirror with tucked-in genitals? So pretty. Now *that* was chilling. Dude, I'm so glad I found your blog. I linked it to mine, fakemoviecritic.blogspot. Rock on.
