like eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, i didn’t care ONE BIT about ANY of the characters. i think this film was highly overrated.

have you seen vera drake? now THERE is a character driven movie.

I finally saw this film last week, and was pleasantly surprised. I took so long to see it because it was one of those films that is so over-hyped to the point of turning me off it altogether. I hate being force-fed something. So I finally caught it on HBO and amazingly enough, I liked it! I enjoyed watching a movie that was about adults for a change. And damn good writing, especially the scene between Miles and Maya when they talk about aged wines. That the director lets them actually talk for an extended time is a rare thing in Hollywood.
Sideways is definitely a good movie. Not a GREAT movie, but a good movie. (and I, too, could have done without some of the nudity. eww!)

Yawn…. I thought the plot was boring. It had it’s funny moments, but was basically a drawn-out-no-substance movie.

It was funny. I didn’t see it as the Oscar-worthy subject of hype that it was made out to be, but it was good.

And I totally did NOT need to see that nasty couple going at it. ICK.

Nice take on one of the few great films to come out recently. I still chuckle when I think of the pseudo car accident.
